For every order, we plant a tree.
FSC-certified materials
The oak and ash we use comes from European forests certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. Trees are replaced as they're felled. Our suppliers can trace each board back to the forest it grew in.
Natural finishes
We finish with hardwax oils — plant-based, low-VOC, and repairable. No polyurethane lacquer. When the surface eventually wears, you can re-oil a bed in an afternoon.
A small workshop
Four people working close to the wood means less waste. Offcuts become smaller pieces or are used to heat the workshop in winter. We measure twice.
Built to be repaired
Solid wood. Mortise-and-tenon joints. Standard hardware. Every piece we ship is something we can fix five, ten, twenty years from now. That's the most sustainable thing furniture can be.
